Public Sun Viewing
Canceled Public
Safe, free viewing of the Sun!
It’s Solar Saturday!
Our members have telescopes specially equipped for safe viewing of our Sun, and we’ll share the views with you on the Naperville Riverwalk just west of the Dandelion Fountain! Come see the Sun’s “surface”, maybe some sunspots, and the Sun’s “atmosphere” and solar prominences!
We’ll also have eclipse glasses available to protect your eyes during the coming solar eclipse on April 8, 2024.
Note: This event is subject to cancellation if clouds or other weather interfere – check naperastro.org for a go-or-cancel announcement the morning of the event.
This event is open to the public and free of charge.
