NASA & the Meteoroid Environment
Presenter: Rhiannon Blaauw, Wheaton College
Meteoroids — small particles of dust and minerals in space — pose a problem to both manned and unmanned spacecraft. At interplanetary speeds, the impact of even a tiny grain can cause significant damage. Our speaker will tell us about her work at NASA’s Meteoroid Environment Office, where she helped study the issue. The public is welcome to attend, free of charge.
This event is open to the public and free of charge.
