Intergalactic Transfer Research
Presenter: Zachary Hafen, Northwestern University
“Intergalactic transfer” isn’t about starships and wormholes, but a developing theory of how stars and other matter might be exchanged between interacting galaxies, and how that process might have effected the development of “modern” galaxies, like our Milky Way. Graduate student Hafen will fill us in on this fascinating, current topic.
