Exploring the Development of Massive Stellar Nurseries

Presenter: Dr. Grace Wolf-Chase

The arms of galaxies like ours are filled with immense clouds of gas and dust, out of which form clusters of tens and even hundreds of stars. Ongoing research is helping us understand what goes on in such stellar nurseries, and how stars that form within them can end up being “off on their own”, like our Sun is.

Dr. Wolf-Chase, from the Adler Planetarium and the University of Chicago will bring us up to date in our understanding of where stars come from!

The public is welcome to attend, free of charge.

This event is open to the public and free of charge.
