Jupiter and Saturn Conjunction
Public
Don’t miss it!
During the “Great Conjunction” on Dec. 21, 2020, Jupiter and Saturn will be about one-tenth of a degree apart, their closest approach since 1623. You’ll see both in binoculars or a telescope with a low-power eyepiece.
Look for them low in the southwest sky, shortly after sunset. The picture below shows what they’ll look like at roughly 4 pm CST when they are about 14 degrees above the horizon.
This event is open to the public and free of charge.
