Multi-Planet Viewing
Public
Here’s your chance to see all 8 planets in one evening! This is a somewhat rare occasion so you don’t want to miss it. Mars will also be the biggest it’s been since 2003.
NOTES:
Mercury sets at 8:42 pm so if you want to see it, arrive at 8:30.
Neptune rises at 10:30 pm and Uranus rises around midnight, so you’ll need to stay late to see them.
Bug spray and a light jacket are suggested.
Drive into the forest preserve off Greene Road, then all the way to the top of the Scenic Overlook.
This event is open to the public and free of charge.
