FPDCC Swallow Cliff Woods Observing
We’ll be providing scopes for Cook County Forest Preserve District’s telescope party tonight. Enter from the west side of La Grange Road (US 45) just south of 119th Street and drive all the way back to the farthest-in parking lot, then set up west of the lot. The event will be cancelled in the event of clouds or other weather issues.
This event is being presented by another organization. Please consult their website for further details.
Location
Swallow Woods Cliff Park South
Best known for its 100-foot-high bluff and demanding stair workout, Swallow Cliff Woods rewards visitors who explore beyond the stairs. Take a short walk (or long hike) on the unpaved trails of the Sag Valley Trail System and experience woodlands, marshes and sedge meadows filled with bird songs—especially during spring and fall migrations.
