Yes You Can Get There From Here: Finding Your Targets by Star-Hopping
Presenter: Ron Ziss
Before a “go-to” program came with almost every telescope, people earned the right to observe celestial targets by finding them using nothing but the tools the sky itself gives us. Long-time NAA member and Fundamentals Coordinator Ron Ziss will show you how easy (and rewarding!) it is to turn off those unreliable and inaccurate electronics and follow a trail of star patterns to your astronomical prey – a good skill to have at your disposal when your battery runs down or your “go-to” program gets lost.
The public is welcome to attend, free of charge.
This event is open to the public and free of charge.
