Comparing the Hubble & Webb Space Telescopes
Presenter: Dean Mikolajczyk, presenter, Cernan Earth and Space Center
The Hubble Space Telescope, launched in 1990, is likely reaching the end of its serviceable lifetime. The James Webb Space Telescope continues its slow march toward being launched. How do the two instruments compare? Our speaker will explain how much the JWST is a “replacement” for the HST, and how much it is just a different tool.
The public will be welcome to attend, free of charge.
This event is open to the public and free of charge.
