Science During The Eclipse
Presenter: Mark Adams, U. of Illinois Chicago
Last summer’s total solar eclipse did more than provide an amazing spectacle for those who were fortunate enough to see it; it provided an opportunity to conduct a lot of scientific experiments. Professor Adams will tell us about one such experiment: observing cosmic rays during totality, and before and after the eclipse, to allow his team to determine how many of the rays, which cannot pass thru the Moon, originate from the Sun.
The public is welcome to attend, free of charge.
This event is open to the public and free of charge.
