DESCRIPTION:This event is open to the public and free of charge.\n\nSpace exploration inspires curiosity, innovation, and discovery, but connecting people to these stories requires more than spacecraft and technology. Drawing on my experiences as Head Curator at the Griffin Museum of Science and Industry and as a NASA Solar System Ambassador, this presentation will explore how we bring the history and excitement of space science and exploration to diverse audiences through our Henry Crown Space Center, while also connecting those stories to current developments in planetary science and NASA’s exploration programs.\n\nShort Bio:\n\nDr. Voula Saridakis is Head Curator at the Griffin Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago and a NASA Solar System Ambassador. As part of the Museum’s Collections and Archives team, she works with the Museum’s collections and contributes to the development of exhibitions that connect audiences with science, technology, and innovation. With a background in the history of science and public engagement, she is passionate about sharing stories of discovery and helping audiences explore the past, present, and future of space exploration.\n\nLocation:\nGrace United Methodist Church\n300 E Gartner Rd\nNaperville, IL 60540\nUnited States\nhttps://naperastro.org/location/grace-united-methodist-church/\n\nPresenter: Dr. Voula Saridakis
